Another Last Minute Card

One more card done. This one is for {From the Heart} Stamps: Stamp of the Month Challenge. And January's cute digistamp is "Caught Your Heart" provided to me free because I entered December's Challenge.  I used the simple cat with heart design, but the set also included the cat sitting under an old fashioned mail shoot and the cat with love letters.  The sentiment is computer generated; I thought it was purr-fect for this card (sorry, I couldn't resist).

Enjoy. . . and don't forget to make a couple Valentine's Cards, it'll be here sooner than you think.

January is Almost Over

I'll be sharing several cards today (once they are all finsihed) because it's the end of the month and that means today is the deadline for the monthly progressive challenges I usually enter.

First up is a card for Imagine That Digistamps January's challenge.  This is SO cute, but I had a dickens of a time coloring it (mainly because I couldn't decide on what colors to use).   All in all, I like the final product and that's what really matters.

The snowflake border and snowflake are from Whimsy Stamps and the paper is from Pebbles Lakeside and Stampin' Up! Print Poetry collections.  I added some glitter for the snow and used a Pearl Pen for the bunny's tail and the girl's cuffs.

Christmas Card Challenge #9

It's the last Sunday of the month, so that means the theme over at Christmas Card Challenges is "Anything Goes." How easy is that.

This card went together extremely fast. I punched a scalloped circle, then punched a hole in the middle with a 1" circle punch to create the wreath. A bit of  "greenery" was added courtesy of a Martha Stewart border punch. I added a Stampin' Up! sentiment punched out with a Stampin' Up! punch and some rhinestones.  A tiny ribbon bow finished the wreath and the card was complete.

Be sure to stop by Christmas Card Challenges to see all the wonderful ideas the rest of the DT has for you.  And get working on those Christmas/holiday cards.

Crafty Creations

I can't believe that two weeks have already gone by and it's time for another challenge at Crafty Creations. This time the theme is:
Seasonal Card (Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter).
We're sponsored by San's Design and I received a lovely digistamp to use for my card creation.

I made a "Spring" card because, even though I live in Florida, I'm tired of the cold weather and winter.  I'm not sure if you can see the cloud embossing folder I used for the white background, but I thought it went really well with the clouds in the stamp.

I finished off the inside also, but didn't include a sentiment because I'm not sure what I want to use this card for yet (it works so well for a number of occasions).

Be sure to hop on over to the Crafty Creations Challenges blog to see what the other Design Team members have created for you this week.

Christmas Card #2

Lucky you! Since it's Sunday, I'm sharing another Christmas Card I made as a member of the Christmas Card Challenges DT.  This week the theme is: Polka Dots.  I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder to create my polka dots.

Long story to this card, but I'll try to keep it short. I made a resolution this year to use up items I've already 'cut / punched / stamped / embossed / etc'  since I have too many half-finished projects taking up precious space.

I found the embossed cardstock with a partial circle already punched (not sure what my original plan was for this piece). And I found the digi snowman, by TiddlyInks, already printed and cut out.  So I colored him up with Copics. Then I found this scrap piece of DP and green CS and the card was born.

After using the plaid DP on the front, I only had a small strip left, so I had to improvise on the inside.  I carried the dotted embossed paper to the inside, but punched a partial circle so I could write a message easier. I sponged around the edges using Memento Bamboo Leaves.

Now for the "honesty" part . . . I had the front all put together, then realized that I didn't like the sentiment (from Stamp Fairyon top of the embossed CS. So, I lifted the corner (thank goodness my dimensionals had not "set" yet and I was still able to pull it apart), and I punched another partial circle for the sentiment.

Four of my "old" stash used up . . . only 239 pieces left to go (or thereabouts). {smile}

Christmas Card #1 of 2014

Yikes. I forgot to post the Christmas Card I made for the Christmas Card Challenges this past Sunday.  If you start now . . . yes, right now . . . and make ONE Christmas card a week, you will have roughly 40-45 Christmas cards by Thanksgiving.

Here's some inspiration for you.

Here's the card halfway open

And here's the card fully open. A very simple, fast card to make. Since I kept it fairly flat, it won't cost an arm & a leg to mail. Hmmm . . . I might have to make a few more of these.
